Hello
The Agen / Sarlat trip went very well, admittedly in the heat, but nothing insurmountable with the right number of water bottles.
THE TRAIL :
Some nice climbs on all segments, rather short but quite dry. A minimum level of fitness is required if you don’t have a VAE.
The first 2 days in the Lot are rather rural and very pleasant, with plenty of opportunities to stop off.
The final stretch in the Dordogne is undoubtedly the most beautiful and shady. Of course, the Dordogne valley remains the highlight of the trip.
THE HALTS:
Agen: very functional hotel, top-notch welcome, don’t hesitate to book the restaurant in advance as there aren’t many places to eat in Agen, especially on a Saturday evening.
Villeneuve sur Lot / Monpazier: very, very pleasant; excellent amenities, a real favorite. A must-have.
Sarlat: clean, functional hotel and welcome pool.
So much for a few comments on the stay; we were delighted and will certainly be re-planning a tour soon.
Sincerely
Mr Naessens – July 2022
