Day 1Arrival in Bordeaux at the end of the day

Arrival at the SNCF train station or at Bordeaux airport. Taxi transfer to your hotel in central Bordeaux. Installation.

Day 2Discovery of Bordeaux "UNESCO World Heritage"

Bordeaux, the ancient Roman “Burdigala”, inseparable from its vineyard … shines amply in its stone adornment to dispense with artifice. Capital of wine, it is also endowed with great historical and architectural wealth; The Place de la Bourse, the Palais de la Bourse and the Hôtel des Douanes, the Allées de Tourny, the Place des Grands Hommes and the Grand Théâtre, the Palais Rohan, the Place Pey-Berland and the Saint-André Cathedral, the Place des Quinconces, Place du Parlement, Jardin Public, the various city gates, the quays and many 18th century mansions, in the heart of the city center, contribute to the elegance of the Aquitaine capital.

The permanent course

You will embark on an immersive and sensory adventure to discover the cultures and civilizations of wine.

Through more than 3,000 m² of free passage, nearly twenty interactive thematic spaces invite you on a journey for a unique experience in time and space to meet wine in its deepest diversity.

Throughout your visit to the permanent course, you will be equipped with an audio guide, travel companion and innovative tool available in 8 languages, allowing you to explore the course at your own pace by adapting to your profile.

The visit of the permanent route includes access to the La Cité du Vin belvedere, where you will discover Bordeaux in 360 ° while tasting a glass of world wine (5cl).

NB: Ticket reservation and tasting included in the price of the stay but the visit takes place independently with audio guides in 9 languages. (Duration of visit: around 3h00).

Day 3"Saint-Émilion: UNESCO World Heritage"

Not far from Bordeaux, between Libourne and Castillon-la Bataille, Saint-Émilion stands like an open-air museum. Built as an amphitheater in a limestone valley, this small town, “precious stone of Bordeaux” astonishes and fascinates. A city steeped in history perched on a rocky promontory, Saint-Emilion and its vineyard draw their originality from the limestone which has shaped its identity. Saint-Emilion also owes its exceptional side to the great diversity of its terroirs and wines.

Morning: Departure by coach from the hotel to Saint-Emilion.

Guided tour of Saint-Emilion underground:

During this visit, your guide will give you the keys to understanding Saint-Emilion’s underground heritage. From the story of the monk Emilion, between legend and reality, to the excavation of the surprising monolithic church; from the paintings of the Trinity Chapel to the secrets of the catacombs. A compendium of history through four major monuments!

During this walk, you will marvel at the many architectural and local treasures: mounds, escalettes, cloisters …

Guided tour in a “Saint-Emilion Grand Cru” wine castle:

This visit lasts approximately 1 hour: Presentation of Saint-Emilion and of all of its jurisdiction as well as the specificities of the Bordeaux region. Discovery of the property; Reception of the group by the Cellar Master; Presentation of the stages that mark the development of wine in Saint-Emilion.

A commented tasting concludes the visit.
