Your stay

The Cornouialle in Brittany by bike. Join us at the wild and spectacular “end of the world”!

We offer you a cycling trip to the “end of the world”. Visit Cornouaille in Brittany by bike along the Atlantic coast, starting from Quimper in Finistère!

Wild and authentic, Cornouaille opens up its vast natural spaces to you by bike, as you discover its colorful folk traditions. Cradled by the sea and the light, Cornouaille is a paradise for artists, sports enthusiasts and lovers of beauty and sweet delicacies.

Departing from Quimper, your cycling trip takes you first to the heights of the Bay of Douarnenez, to one of Brittany’s most charming villages: Locronan, a granite town. Here, you’ll enjoy a panoramic view, followed by a beautiful descent to your charming seaside hotel. Here, you’ll enjoy a bit of peace and quiet, like a sailor returning to port, to recuperate from your first efforts.

The next day, the Pointe du Raz awaits you. Beware, a grandiose spectacle! Labelled a Grand Site de France, the Pointe du Raz is a natural masterpiece. Between waves and steep rocks, you’ll be fascinated by the wild beauty of this point marking the westernmost tip of the country. Here, Finistère lives up to its name: you’ll feel far, far away, at the end of the world… You’ll have to leave your bikes behind to reach the Pointe. The jagged coastline, sheared by the wind and the incessant rhythm of the tides, offers spectacular scenery. And if there’s no “heavy weather”, the sea bass fishermen will give you a dance demonstration on the waves that form between the Pointe and the Ile de Sein.

Your bike trip continues along the coast, then returns inland, passing through the capital of the Pays Bigouden before following the Odet and finishing in Quimper.

This journey from point to point shows a wild Brittany where the character of men seems to be forged.

You'll enjoy :

  • A land of Breton legends and traditions
  • The City of Art and History of Quimper and its earthenware factory
  • Pointe Raz… at the end of the world!
  • The fishing ports of Douarnenez and Audierne.
  • Locronan, one of Brittany’s most beautiful villages

Daily program

Day 1 - Arrival in Quimper

Welcome to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Let yourself be charmed by this mythical city in Brittany and its three ancient hearts. A gourmet town with lively shopping streets, and the cultural capital of Brittany, which was awarded the Grand Prix National du Fleurissement!

Overnight in Quimper.

Day 2 - Quimper to Douarnenez

You leave Quimper on a cycle path laid out on a former railroad line, which takes you to Douardenez, the town of three ports! Take in the view over the bay to reach one of Brittany’s most impressive villages: Locronan. The port of Douardenez and its bay await you for the night.

Day 3 - Douarnenez to Audierne, option through Pointe du Raz

Starting from Douarnenez, the route climbs gently towards the wild coast. It then runs along the cliffs to Pointe du Millier, where the coastal path and small lighthouse offer unobstructed views of Douarnenez Bay. The route then passes through the hamlets of Cap-Sizun and leads to Pointe de Kastel Koz, a more secluded but equally spectacular spot, nestled in unspoiled surroundings. After this coastal stretch, the route heads inland to Pont-Croix, listed as one of France’s Small Towns of Character: its old town, cobbled streets, and collegiate church are well worth a visit. A pleasant descent finally leads to Audierne, following the Goyen River to the port.

The long option will take you to the legendary Pointe du Raz, classified as a Grand Site de France. Facing the Iroise Sea, the wind carries the spray and the roar of the waves against the cliffs. The panorama is breathtaking: in the distance you can see the Vieille lighthouse and the island of Sein, a frail silhouette set against the ocean.

Overnight stay and breakfast in a hotel.

Day 4 - From Audierne to Plobannalec-Lesconil

From Audierne, follow the route known as “La Route du Vent Solaire” (The Solar Wind Route), a journey between land and sea that takes you to Pointe de la Torche, a site well known to surfers for its powerful waves and wild landscape.

As you approach Penmarc’h, the Eckmühl lighthouse stands majestically facing the ocean, providing an iconic landmark for sailors and breathtaking views for visitors. At 4 p.m., head to the port of Guilvinec, where locals and visitors are already gathering to watch the fishermen arrive. It’s an authentic and lively spectacle, punctuated by the maneuvering of the boats and the daily auction, which brings the maritime spirit of the region to life.

Overnight stay and breakfast in a hotel.

Day 5 - From Plobannalec-Lesconil to Quimper

You leave the sea behind and head for the capital of Cornouaille in Brittany, the city of art and history known as Quimper. After crossing the bucolic countryside of the hinterland to the historic town of Pontabbé, nestled at the end of the estuary, you reach an old railway line. Now a beautiful greenway, it takes you to the banks of the Odet, the river that flows through the Breton capital of Faience, then to the center of Quimper and its impressive cathedral.

Overnight stay and breakfast in a hotel.

Day 6 - Departure
