"... It was very obvious to us that you had planned the cycling trip as a real cyclist would, as the route was very scenic and tranquil. Your choice of accommodation could not have been better - you obviously have an excellent rapport (they all spoke highly of you) with these hotels and guest houses as we were treated very well wherever you had made arrangements. We met other cyclists along the way and our impression was that Evazio clearly had a more personal experience of the whole tour we did..."

EXCELLENT Basée sur 72 avis Publié sur Stephen Jay19/10/2025 A well organised walk. GPS app works fine. Evazio were professional and helpful. The various small villages you encounter unfortunately mostly do not offer any food and drink service so book your picnic in advance on your Evazio booking form. Our hotel hosts were very good and we have a very pleasant experience in this enormous wine producing area.Publié sur Shelley Anderson10/10/2025 We did the self guided bike tour “Tarn and Tarn & Garonne”. Evazio was very responsive and professional setting up our trip and communicating with me. The trip was magical! So many beautiful sites to see on a bike. More than I would’ve seen in a car. If you like off the beaten path, you will love this! We loved going at our own pace and exploring to our hearts desire. Castles, chateaus, bakeries, vineyards, cobblestone streets, bridges, and small villages. We rented e-bikes and they were great, with saddle bags and front bag to hold snacks. They were well maintained and came with repair tools. A cell phone holder for the bike purchased the 2nd day, was a game changer. Bring one! Makes navigating easier. Bring padded bike shorts, it’s a lot of time in the saddle, if you don’t regularly ride.Publié sur Stefan Diez07/10/2025 Great organisation of a beautiful bike tour around Tours.Publié sur Lynn Hetterich07/10/2025 I don’t know if we could have thrown more challenges at Evazio - and they were responsive, helpful, efficient, understanding, professional - the list goes on. We started with four of us for a week (Wine country tour). We added two people for an additional two weeks (Bordeaux loop). We added a third person for the two week trip. We had a medical emergency and cancelled everything. Then we asked them to rebook it all - and add a fourth person to the two week trip. I never sensed any eye rolling or frustration. And, while most of our accommodations were still available, they found alternatives just days before our trip, to make the whole three weeks work. We love staying in small towns and, while some of our accommodations were “hotels,” many were special small inns (and the hotels were welcoming and pleasant). Many meals were included (or available) and all were beyond expectation. Our bikes (gravel) were high quality and all accommodations had bike arrangements, no issues. A route book was provided, together with a downloadable phone app - and they provided us with gpx files we could use with our own app. We had vouchers for ferries, meals (where needed). Everything was dialed and easy. Thank you Andrea for your patience - and professional attention to every detail. (The only thing I would advise for anyone booking in August would be to avoid the cycleways along the west coast during holiday time. Everything was very clear and the answers were very prompt. In the early days of choosing a company to go with, I found that Evazio was willing to give good information on exactly what hotels they were aiming to book, which I really liked. We also thought their prices were very competitive. Hotels: We enjoyed the choice of hotels. Many hotels, like in the Loire Valley, were centrally located and easy to walk to the central part of town after the day's cycling was done. And of course in the very hot weather we really enjoyed the hotels that had pools, as with many in the Dordogne. All of the hotels included breakfast, and some in the hotel were 'demi-pension', meaning breakfast and dinner were included, which was very nice. All hotels were 'bike-friendly' and had good secure places to lock up the bikes at night. Logistics: Luggage transfer went very well, our bags were always there waiting for us. Our information package was very good. We really liked the booklet put together for Dordogne, along with maps it had step-by-step instructions which was highly useful. We belong to a cycling club and for each ride, both a map and step-by-step instruction is circulated. It can certainly help when there are unexpected events like road closures for events or construction, etc. to reconnect with the route. Bikes: The touring bike was fine for conditions in Loire Valley, but in the Dordogne it was not realistic for the climbs required to get to castles and higher elevation towns. We cycle considerable elevations in high heat at home during the summer, but we use road bikes and it makes a world of difference (in case there is any confusion over definition, road bikes - sometimes called a gravel bike - is a lighter bike with drop handles ). A heavy touring bike created quite a challenge to be able to get to the higher elevation attractions, and particularly in the Dordogne, practically all towns or castles were located on a hill. We are quite proud of what we did accomplish given that the majority of bikes that we saw in most Dordogne parking lots were electric bikes (unlike the Loire, where we saw a more even distribution of pedal versus electric assist bikes). We communicated this feedback to Evazio, and I do see that they have started offering road bikes, so they appear to be quite responsive in responding to customer suggestions. Finally, we were happy to be using a local company. In early research companies from the US, Canada, UK, etc. were popping up, and I much preferred the idea of using a company located in France. We would be happy to use Evazio again for future travel.Publié sur Nir Oren26/07/2025 We booked a bike trip from Bordeaux to Toulouse with Evazio. The route itself is highly recommended. It is mostly flat and shaded so you don't need to be an experienced rider, and the heat is not that bad even in the summer. The villages along the way are lovely with nice places for lunch (though some of the places were closed, so you need to plan your day not to miss lunch time). The hotels were welcoming and the b&bs were lovely, with friendly and generous hosts. All the technicalities in connection with this trip were taken care of by Evazio, from the bikes, which were in great condition, accomodation along the route and daily transfers of our luggage to the next stop. Everything worked smoothly, and when we faced a problem Andrea was there and solved it immediately. Highly recommended!

Frequently asked questions
Because we're local and work with local people.
We strive to share our encounters with our partners, true representatives of local charm. That's one of the reasons why we surround ourselves with local producers, small businesses and friendly family-run businesses, all of whom love their region, its heritage and culture, and are eager to share their passion with you.
For almost 18 years, we've been building a reliable, stable network of partners. We work together with our loyal hosts, restaurateurs, bike rental companies, tour leaders, guides, transporters and other operators, with a common concern for quality of service.
Over the years, we have built up a relationship with most of our travel partners that is more friendly than commercial. This translates into greater availability and responsiveness, tailored and personalized services, and a serene, long-term working relationship.
And naturally, you're the first to benefit!
As far as itineraries are concerned, we personally study, identify and test our bike tours and hikes.
Criteria include the difficulty of the route, the length of the stages, the historical, cultural and natural points of interest, all on small, pleasant roads with little traffic, or on cycle paths or footpaths.
Last but not least, your cycling or walking itinerary should of course include accommodation that offers all the services and comforts you need, as well as a charming, convenient location!
The expansion of cycling in recent years has seen the development of numerous "bike routes", greenways and safe, rolling cycle paths. We'll be happy to advise you on these cycling routes, offering you alternatives that focus more on cultural aspects and natural treasures.
"... the five days we spent on the bike trip were absolutely the highlight of the trip. What made it particularly enjoyable was the effort you made to keep the whole trip on such quiet roads. It was a pleasure and far exceeded our expectations in this respect..."
Alyson and Mark Hay
For bike trips and treks further afield, we work with expert local operators with the same spirit.
No one can be an expert in everything and everywhere. So there's no need to compete unnecessarily. On the contrary, close collaboration with each other guarantees the desired quality of service.
Our cycling and walking tours are presented with, among other things, a number of nights, a daily distance and a level of accommodation comfort.
Naturally, these vacations can be customized wherever possible. On request, we can adapt the formula by adding extra nights, rest days, changing the range of accommodation, etc.
For our bike trips, we provide quality bikes suitable for touring, comfortable and with a good weight/strength ratio.
On almost all our bike tours, you can opt for an electric bike, usually unisex, with sufficient battery capacity for the daily distances of the chosen tour, with or without relief.
Bikes are serviced before each use and are equipped with at least a rear bag, a handlebar bag, a lock (for 1 or 2 bikes), a repair kit (for 1 or 2 bikes) and a helmet.
For bike trips with significant hills, you can also opt for a road bike that comes with a saddle bag.
We can provide you with a travel booklet showing the route on a map and the corresponding directions. You'll also find practical and tourist information.
For the more connected and on request, we can provide the following depending on the tour:
- An App to download onto your smartphone, offering audio and visual GPS navigation along the entire route
- GPX tracks to download to your own navigation tool
On all our itinerant tours, whether by bike or on foot, we take care of transporting your luggage every time you change accommodation.
Your luggage, labelled in advance, is collected from your departure accommodation in the morning and dropped off at your arrival accommodation in the late afternoon.
Life would be too monotonous without hazards! That's why we're available 24 hours a day to assist you with any special requests or problems you may encounter during your trip.
Despite all the care we take in organizing your vacation, an error can unfortunately slip into the smooth running of your stay. In such cases, we do our utmost to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
"...I have to admit that when I dialed the agency's telephone number at 5:58 pm on Sunday July 26, 2020 to inform you that out of the 5 rooms booked, only 4 were available, I didn't expect to be contacted immediately by you.
Moreover, the solution you presented to us less than an hour later quickly made us forget this unpleasant experience due to a registration error by one of your service providers. Congratulations on your efficiency and sense of service... "
