Tour description

Pretty Paris might be hogging the spotlight for trips to France, but when it comes to food and wine, there’s no French region you’d rather be other than BURGUNDY. That’s why we purpose you this Burgundy Walking tour!

Two of the most famous vineyards worldwide are located to the south of Dijon. The Côte de Nuits, from Chenove to Corgoloin, producing powerful red wines. The Côte de Beaune, renowned for its delicate red wines and its full-bodied white wines. Since the 3rd century B.C., the vineyards here have provided the noblest vintages. Long-time properties of the dukes of Bourgogne, the area stands today as witness to the past, a trail of chapels, châteaux and old, glazed-roof villages, and vineyards, one after another. Included in the itinerary are two remarkable towns: Dijon, the capital of Burgundy, and Beaune, the vineyards’ capital.

Burgundy’s UNESCO – listed vineyards produce the most sought-after wines on the planet and Dijon’s mustard is second to none. Be it in a busy city square or far-flung charming village… There’s always something to delight the taste buds in Burgundy. The wonder also doesn’t stop at the region’s gastronomic scene. Burgundy’s illustrious architectural heritage traces back to Celtic antiquity and boasts marvels from the Renaissance, Middle Ages and Gallo-Roman times.

With Burgundy Walking tour you walk through UNESCO world heritage designated vineyards. At the end of the day, there’s nothing quite like resting your legs and sipping a fine Côte d’Or wine as the sun sets. The wine may steal the show!
