Bonjour,

Notre séjour à vélo de La Rochelle à Arcachon s’est globalement bien passé.

En ce qui concerne les hôtels, nous avons été à chaque fois très bien accueillis et les hébergements étaient tout à fait satisfaisants et adaptés pour des cyclos.

Les itinéraires proposés sont très agréables.

Au sujet de l’application, globalement satisfaits hormis deux mauvaises surprises , nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans une région magnifique avec des gens sympathiques, souriants et accueillants.

Nous sommes de retour de notre périple.

Comme toujours, tout a fonctionné à merveille. Que ce soit la livraison des vélos ainsi que le suivi de nos bagages.

Nous avons apprécié le confort des hôtels avec une mention spéciale pour l’hôtel Ile de lumière sur l’île d’Oléron.

En ce qui concerne l’itinéraire, les pistes cyclables de la Flow vélo ne sont pas aussi bien entretenues que sur la Vélodyssée (vous n’y êtes pour rien mais je tenais à le signaler)!

Oui tout s’est bien passe. Nous avons bien aime ces vacances ‘sportives’. Merci encore pour cette organisation parfaite, nous avons apprécié les hôtels/table d’hôtes que vous avez choisi pour nous.

S’il fallait trouver un point négatif, ce serait la section Sigalens a Frontenac. Parce que nous avions choisi l’option longue, l’étape fut plus longue et difficile que prévue et que l’étape suivante, beaucoup plus courte. Cela dit, vous ne pouvez pas savoir qu’elle option les gens vont prendre

Encore une fois, cela n’était pas un problème majeur et somme satisfaits a 100% de ce parcours.

Bonjour Monsieur Fritsch,

Merci de votre organisation et prise de nouvelles. Oui nous avons passé une très belle semaine.

Nous avons entre 54 et 64 ans et ne sommes pas de grand sportifs néanmoins à ce niveau-là tout avait été bien pensé par vos soins.

Étape Sud du Bassin – bien mais dans le parc ornithologique on a fait que la 1^ère boucle et on voulait ensuite longer le bord pour rejoindre port de Teich (car la journée devenait longue en version 22km) mais cela n’a pas été possible car chemin interdit. Dommage mais cela n’était pas votre parcours proposé donc c’est notre faute.

Étape Est du Bassin – belle propositions dommage qu’il y a plusieurs km suivre piste cyclable hors bord de mer.

Étape aire de St-Brice – sympa, regret de n’avoir pas pu suivre la fin en bord de mer mais cela est de la faute de personne puisqu’il y a des dégâts dû à une récente tempête.

Étape Arès, village de l’Herbe – début super joli avec les marais salants. Après cet endroit gros regret car beaucoup trop de pistes cyclables à suivre. Nous avons donc choisi de prendre un bus jusqu’au village Le Canon puis marche jusqu’au village de l’Herbe.

Étape Dune du Pilat – très bien grâce à votre conseil, nous avons pris le bus au retour jusqu’à Moulleau et fini à pied et c’était super ainsi.

Les hôtels étaient bien. Chauffeure VTC – tip top, dame extrêmement sympathique.

Baignades agréables, gastronomie très bien, population très sympathique et pour nous météo parfaite, frais pour marcher c’était génial et les pluies ont été très peu nombreuses finalement.

Éventuellement indiquer plus de restaurants et buvettes sur les cartes du book durant les parcours marche même si l’on vous remercie d’avoir pris la peine d’indiquer les jours de fermeture de ceux qui étaient notés. Nous avons testés de vos propositions et avons été très satisfaits.

Nous garderons un très beau souvenir de cette découverte du Bassin d’Arcachon.

L’organisation était irréprochable.

Nous avons particulièrement appréciés l’application GPS ainsi que les parcours proposés qui étaient parfaitement adaptés aux enfants …. et aux parents (points d’intérêts, restaurants, etc).

Les hôtels choisis étaient également très bien situés et impeccables

The route vas wonderful and hotels and restaurants amazing. (half board was a very good decision)

The 2 days in Isle sur la sourge after Ventoux was also a very good decision to get up a bit later and not to hurry for the check out the second day.

The descend Mont Ventoux (3 degrees Cel) to Sault its almost a MUST.

Notre séjour a été globalement très agréable, nous avons vu de très beaux paysages, villages, châteaux…, en dehors de la foule, et c’est ce que je souhaitais. Les étapes étaient un peu longues, mais j’en assume la responsabilité: j’ai fait confiance à mes enfants sur les distances et je n’aurais pas dû… Mais malgré tout, tout le monde est ravi!

We had a super time in France on the Pink Granite Coast cycle holiday.

The service provide by the local partner was very good.

Their representative was punctual, personable and knowledgeable. The information and equipment they provided was comprehensive and well explained and of very good quality.

The hotels were varied and of good quality…even the Ibis!  The food was good in all. Bike storage was easy, staff were friendly.

Leaving the bikes at the end of the holiday was easy.

The holiday was incredibly well organised and everything worked like clockwork. The luggage was always waiting for us when we arrived, and each hotel was friendly and welcoming.

The overall cycle route was advertised as Easy, but I would suggest that this is definitely ‘Medium’; you need a good level of strength and stamina to do this route.

We hired bikes; they were touring bikes and very heavy. Again, I think that a fairly good level of strength is required to lift them (into bike racks) and to cycle them up a hill 😀

So overall everything was positive and we had a great holiday; everything that Evazio was responsible for was great 😊

Hi Andrea,

We have a lot of good memories and saw a lot of great things on this trip. Here are a few comments:

Organization: The communication with your company for planning the trip was excellent. Everything was very clear and the answers were very prompt. In the early days of choosing a company to go with, I found that yours was willing to give good information on exactly what hotels you were aiming to book, which I really liked.

Hotels: We enjoyed your choice of hotels. Many hotels, like in the Loire Valley, were centrally located and easy to walk to the central part of town after the day’s cycling was done. And of course in the very hot weather we really enjoyed the hotels that had pools, as with many in the Dordogne.

Logistics: Luggage transfer went very well, our bags were always there waiting for us. Our information package was very good. We really liked the booklet put together for Dordogne, along with maps it had step-by-step instructions which was highly useful. We belong to a cycling club and for each ride, both a map and step-by-step instruction is circulated. It can certainly help when there are unexpected events like road closures for events or construction, etc. to reconnect with the route.

Bikes: The touring bike was fine for conditions in Loire Valley, but in the Dordogne it was not realistic for the climbs required to get to castles and higher elevation towns. We cycle considerable elevations in high heat here in Quebec during the summer, but we use road bikes and it makes a world of difference. A heavy touring bike created quite a challenge to be able to get to the higher elevation attractions. We are quite proud of what we did accomplish given that the majority of bikes that we saw in most Dordogne parking lots were electric bikes (unlike the Loire, where we saw a more even distribution of pedal versus electric assist bikes).

We both think that in all other ways yours is an excellent company. Our main piece of advice would be that if one wants to pedal the Dordogne route without electric assistance, a road bike is the realistic way to enjoy this trip to its fullest.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour le long du canal, merci encore pour l’organisation de ce circuit 🙂 Quelques commentaires :

– les vélos électriques étaient très bien, l’accueil pour les récupérer à l’hôtel de Normandie et déposer les bagages impeccable

– nous avons eu tout de suite un problème sur l’un des vélos (les vitesses ne passaient pas), quelqu’un est venu nous dépanner immédiatement sur le trajet (nous étions encore à Bordeaux).

– les hébergements choisis étaient super, l’hôtel à Moissac nous a surclassé sans frais car la chambre prévue n’avait pas 2 lits comme précisé dans notre demande.

– le circuit est bien, ombragé la plupart du temps ce qui est pas mal en période de canicule !

– en juin beaucoup de restos sont fermés, peut-être le signaler afin de prévoir un pique-nique à midi

– Le roadbook est utile surtout pour les arrivées puisque le GPS inclut tous les hébergements possibles, les cartes sont bien détaillées, j’ai noté néanmoins qq erreurs.

– j’ai utilisé le GPS sur smartphone en version audio comme recommandé, ça fonctionne bien, sauf à quelques embranchements où aucune indication n’est audible…

A une prochaine fois peut-être pour un autre circuit !

I have nothing but good things to say about your company. The routes, the app and the accompanying booklet were all useful too.

From beginning to end, we couldn’t fault the care we received and the quality of the accommodation.

All the accommodations were fantastic, and really different; a great cross section of places to stay, and they seemed like a thoughtful selection. Vegetarian options were also appreciated, and in Monpazier the meal was really thoughtful and delicious.

We loved the Manager at the Moulin de Madame, he was so accommodating and could not do enough for us. And the Manager and his family in Sarlat were so very kind and accommodating. His father drove me to hospital on the day of my last fall, and he also upgraded us to a much more comfortable room. Thank him so very much.

Clare at the cycle company was also great. Letting us know when she would drop the bikes off, giving us instructions and being contactable at all times. Fantastic.

Your people were proactive, professional, friendly and excellent. We especially appreciated their intervention when we had questions about whether we needed to pay the taxi fare on the first night driving into Villeneuve sur Lot for a meal.

Organising someone to collect us promptly after my final fall was also really wonderful of you. Thank you.

Le séjour s’est très bien passé. Les distances  quotidiennes sont  parfaites ce qui a permis de prendre notre temps pour regarder les bateaux passer les écluses, discuter avec des personnes et s’arrêter pour une pause déjeuner. Les hôtels très confortables et bien situés en centre ville.

Certains itinéraires nous font quitter le canal pour un détour dans la campagne ou un village.

Temps pas trop chaud ce qui est bien appréciable pour pédaler.

Bref , 2ème séjour très réussi.

Notre circuit dans la vallée du Lot est terminé et nous tenons à vous remercier pour l’organisation de ce séjour qui s’est très bien passé grâce au bon choix des hébergements, à la variété des parcours ainsi qu’à une bonne météo.

Malgré deux incidents mineurs, très vite solutionnés grâce à la bonne réactivité et au professionnalisme d’ Evazio et du loueur de vélo, nous avons passé une excellente semaine et ne regrettons pas d’avoir choisi l’extension vers St Cirq la Popie. Nous ne manquerons pas de recommander Evazio et de vous consulter pour de nouveaux projets à vélo .

Dear Andrea,

I am more than happy to give feedback on our excellent Bordeaux to Souillac bike tour.  We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and have already recommended Evazio to others.

I will start by saying I was initially slightly nervous about booking more locally ie with a French company,  than  using a British one.

However, any concerns that I had were very quickly removed by the professional, friendly, prompt and patient responses to my many questions.

Plus’s:

• A really well thought out and varied route with minimal travel on busy roads. There was plenty to see and do en route if you wanted to.
• We loved the extension options on certain days
• The accommodation was varied and in good locations with good breakfasts
• The bikes were of an excellent quality and very easy to operate.
• The Evazio app was perfect – again very easy and intuitive to use
• The welcome pack was very useful  and it was good to have the route on paper as well as on the app.
• Great support from the Bordeaux bike hire company when we had a battery issue – resolved over the phone.
• The tour grading was accurate though we were still very grateful to have e-bikes for certain sections – especially leaving Les Eyzies de Tayac and for the Rocamadour trip!

Minus’s:

• Our hotel rooms  in Bordeaux were extremely small and really comfortable for one person.  I would not have wanted to share at all, even with my husband.
• We were not at all  impressed by the hotel in  Les Eyzies de Tayac. We would not want to stay there again.

With hindsight we wished we’d stayed 2 nights in Sarlat. It certainly justifies two nights, there is so much to see and do .

In conclusion we had an extremely  enjoyable cycling holiday  and have no hesitation in recommending Evazio and this tour to others.

We will certainly book via you again should we choose to do another French cycling tour .

On a passé une très belle semaine dans l’Occitanie. Tout était très bien organisé pour le petit cyclo. Les hôtels bien choisis, la livraison des bagage impeccable et les vélos étaient en bon état.  La distance des étapes était très bien fixée. Aussi, les lieux d’intérêts et recommandés pendant les étapes étaient bien recherchés. En bref ; excellent programme pour une semaine.

L’itinéraire nous a permis de profiter de multiples paysages et de la plage l’après-midi.

Quelques couacs avec le GPS mais c’est attendu 😏

Je pense que si la formule est plus longue il nous plairait de passer peut être 2 nuits au même endroit et profiter d’autres balades dans la région.

J’ai recommande vos services a plusieurs personnes.

We are now at the end of our walk and we wish to compliment your company on the planning and especially the excellent accommodations which have all been above our expectations.

We do have some feedback on the walk conditions on our last day Sauternes to Barsac. On the last few kms we experienced unavoidable deep water 300mm++ which filled our boots and further on in a very overgrown section of the track a large tree has fallen across the track and is not passable.

The App is also excellent as is the Roadbook.

Thank you again and for your consideration at the start of our walk. Should we plan another walk in France, we will definitely consider EVAZIO.
