Self-guided cycling tour across the Gironde region in France and its various richenesses : The prestigious Bordeaux vineyards and the ocean coast. With a road book and a new hybrid bike (with all the equipment), you will ride through the area starting by the Entre deux Mers vineyards, going on by the pine forest of the Gascogne Regional Park and reaching the Arcachon bay and the ocean. You will take cycling tracks as well as small roads, quite flat and will enjoy the evening in charming hotel and guesthouses.

Self-guided cycling tour around the Gironde Estuary. You will cross the vast peninsula of the Medoc. You will take a ferry to cross the estuary and will continue your trip on the other side, in Charente Maritime, then Haute-Saintonge and Haute Gironde. You will take the Wine Road of the Medoc, home of the most famous wine-growing chateaux in the world, then you will meet the wine-makers of the famous “Cognac” and “Pineau” of Charentes. You will cross some marshes, will visit windmills and old fortified castle, superb Romanic churches, caves and some unique Gallo-Romanic sites. This journey with various landscapes alternates bicycle paths trough forests and flat roads alongside streams and vineyards, will allow you to discover the exceptional natural surrounding which will fulfil yourself with its diversity. You will be warmly welcomed every evening in three or four stars hotels and charming guest houses.

First, you will take the “wine road” which picks off the most well known chateaux: Giscours, Margaux, Pauillac, Lafite Rothschild, Latour and Mouton Rothschild…and you will furrow the winegrowing boroughs which own some of the most prestigious wine worldwide. The Medoc has also a great diversity of landscapes; a walk trough the marsh, horse breeding and aquaculture. On the hill are located windmills and old castles.
