Eight centuries
of history are not enough to explain the huge prestige of
the wines of Bordeaux! The amateurs will love this
exceptional tour through one of the widest vineyards of the
world : Pauillac, Margaux, Haut Medoc, Pomerol, Saint-Emilion,
Premières côtes de Bordeaux, Sauternes, Graves and Pessac
Léognan.
You will be welcomed by the producers who will give you all
the secrets of their high-class wines, from most industrial
ones to the most small-scale ones. You will discover two
cooperages, will take part in a tasting initiation, cultural
visits and will be accommodated in hotel**, hotel*** or
charming guesthouses.

Day 1 : Pauillac
Your stay will begin at the beginning of the afternoon at Pauillac with a
the famous Château Lafite Rotchschild guided tour. This "1st Cru Classé"
Pauillac, with the perfume of almond, violet and bilberry, is worldwide
known for its elegance and its delicacy.
Since Louis XV who did it " Wine of the King ", the monarchs pass but the
years of the High-class wine of Lafite make the History.
After driving in the Medoc, by the wine road, you will join your hotel**,
located inside a greenery landscape in the heart of the vineyards. You will
have a dinner in an inn located just beside the hotel. The chief will
propose to you a traditional meal.
Day 2 : Haut Medoc and Bordeaux
In the morning, you will be awaited just beside your hotel, at Château
d'Arsac, one of the oldest Fields of the Medoc with its 112 hectares
including 40 in Margaux appellation.
The visit of the wine storehouses and the park with many sculptures, will be
followed by a tasting of Cru Bourgeois Haut Medoc and Margaux. 3 bottles of
Haut Medoc red wine will be given to you at the time of your departure.
You will then reach Bordeaux for a free lunch and a free visit of the main
districts and monuments of the town of Bordeaux.
Dinner in the heart of Bordeaux on the Tourny alleys, in a restaurant with
an exceptional wine bar (190 worldwide vintages wines).
Night in hotel*** beside the restaurant, in the heart of historical
Bordeaux.
Day 3 : Pomerol and Saint-émilion
You will leave in direction of Libourne for a visit and a tasting in another
Château where one produces Pomerol, described like "a full wine, elegant,
equipped with an incomparable bouquet and a smoothness". For many amateurs,
subtle and elegant quality is indeed the mark of this wine.
Departure in direction of St-Emilion and free lunch.
At the beginning of afternoon, visit of the property of the Château Monlot,
18th century house where you will spend the night as well. The owners will
make you share the charm of this guesthouse and will invite you to discover
the perfume of their ground and taste their wordl well-known wine: The
Château Bel Air in Lalande Pomerol and Monlot, a St-Emilion vintage wine .
You will have a dinner in a restaurant of St-Emilion.
Day 4 : Saint-emilion - oenology and UNESCO patrimony
The morning, guided tour (approximately 2 hours) of the underground
monuments of the medieval village of St-Emilion, classified within the World
Inheritance of Humanity by UNESCO. You will discover the cave of the Monk
Emilion, the Vault of the Trinity, the Catacombs, old underground cemetery,
and one of the largest monolith church of Europe.
Free lunch in the Medieval City.
At the beginning of the afternoon, you will be awaited for a tasting
initiation with a professional oenologist. During 1h30, it will present St-Emilion
vineyard, various type of vines, before making you recognize the tastes and
the flavours of the wines.
You will then leave Saint-Emilion to Capian and will be received in Château
Grand Branet for the dinner and a night in "Bacchus" 3 ears of corn
guesthouse. The owners will be happy to accommodate you in their residence
of XVIInd century, in the heart of their wine exploitation.
Day 5 : Premières côtes de Bordeaux and Sauternes
Visit of the property and tasting of Première côtes de Bordeaux in company
of your hosts.
Departure for Fargues. Free lunch and visit of the Château Rieussec. This
castle and this vineyard of 110 hectares were acquired by the Baron de
Rothschild family in 1984. The liqueur-like wine amateurs will appreciate
the wine of Rieussec Castle which is registered since several generations
like one of the first references of Sauternes.
Dinner in a guesthouse, in the heart of the village of St Symphorien.
Day 6 : Graves and Pessac Leognan
At the end of the morning, you will be awaited by the " impassioned and very
interesting " owners of a beautiful chartreuse, located in the middle of a
splendid park and vines. They produce Graves wines and will make you visit
theirs vines and wine storehouse. You will discover there a small-scale
manufacture (the grape is still collected with the hands) and taste white
and red wines. You will leave the property with, in remembering, 3 bottles.
Free lunch in a restaurant located beside the property or close to the
afternoon visit.
In the afternoon, visit of the Château Smith Haut Lafitte, Grand Cru Classé
Graves, Pessac-Léognan appellation. You will of course taste this well-known
wine, after having discovered the underground wine storehouse with wooden
barrels, the cooperage of the Château. You will be able to discover on your
own outsides (vines, pond, hotel, restaurant, vinothérapie center).
Night in a charming guesthouse, in a castle of XVIIIrd century. You will
have a dinner in an excellent restaurant with local specialities located at
3 km of the castle.
Day 7 : End of this wine tour, the head full of the memory of these
sumptuous Châteaux and these artists who make them live. Possibility of a
free visit of the castle of Montesquieu.
