Day 1: Riders welcome during afternoon at Angoulême train station. Transfer to Marthon, night at hotel.

Day 2:Departure around 10 am. The relief is strong in deep valleys who gash Limousin plateau. Ride until Grobos Abbey, picnic and visit. Afternoon across Rochebeaucourt national forest. Arrival on Argentin plateau in the end of the afternoon. Site visit. Night in guests house.

Day 3: We will leave Argentine plateau to ride until Villebois Lavalette. Castle visit (13th century) and picnic.Afternoon among half-agricultural and forested area, quite hilly, to reach our evening stop. Night in cottage.

Day 4: We will reach Aubeterre sur Dronne village. Visite of its Monolith church (12th century) and picnic. In the afternoon, we will reach Chalais town. Night in town and « table d’hôtes » dinner.

Day 5: Direction North until Nonac. Succession of cultures and forests, slightly hilly. We will ride close to Epernon Duke’s castle, picnic half way. In the afternoon, we will reach Blanzac among similar landscapes. Night in guests house.

Day 6: Still North direction, we will start by discovering small splendid valleys. In the afternoon, in a more clear land,this is the beginning of charentais vineyards. Picnic near an old mill. We will finish our horseback riding along the Charente river until Nersac. Charente river is navigable along around 100 km; Clear water, many fishes, admirable banks ; succesion of small churches, villages, farms, everything in a very varied nature. Car transfer towards guests house at the end of the day.

Day 7: West direction towards Chateauneuf, across wide vineyards until Saint Même les Carrières and picnic. In the afternoon, we will come back via right bank of Charente river until Jarnac.Distillery visit, Cognac production and tasting. After visit, riders transfer to Angoulême. Night at hotel.

Day 8: End of trip, transfer to Angoulême train station after breakfast.
